FreePlywood Cut Calculator (4 × 8 Sheets)
Lay out your parts on 4 × 8 ft plywood with the grain running the right way. Enter sizes in inches with fractions or in millimetres; the calculator keeps grain-sensitive parts lengthwise and counts the kerf on every cut.

Why plywood layouts need grain
The face veneer of plywood runs along the 8 ft side. Doors, drawer fronts and visible sides look best with the grain running vertically, so those parts must not be rotated on the sheet. Parts hidden inside a cabinet can turn freely and fill the gaps.
A real 4 × 8 sheet is often a little smaller or larger than 96 × 48 in, and the factory edges may be damaged: set an edge trim of 1/4 to 1/2 in to start from clean edges.
A plywood cutting calculator and layout in one
Your plywood cut list goes in; a plywood cutting list with the sheet layout comes out. It tries thousands of arrangements and keeps the one that uses the fewest sheets.
